Biography

Lindsay Flannery is an American author of fantasy novels, best known for her on-going series, the Castle of Earth books.

Lindsay was born in â€‹1983 in Westchester, New York, where she grew up with two younger brothers to whom she often told fantastical stories. When she was ten, she was given a copy of The Hobbit for her birthday and she never looked back.

Lindsay attended Amherst College where she majored in creative writing with a minor in sociology. She enjoyed her time in the Pioneer Valley and took classes at all of the Five Colleges, taking elective classes in a wide variety of topics.

After spending several years living many places in quick succession, Lindsay now lives in Chicago with her best friend and their three cats where she keeps as big of a garden as it is possible to have in the city. When she isn't writing, she enjoys swing dancing, theatre, and visiting museums. Lindsay is an avid fan of Star Trek and has an impressive collection of Star Trek paperback novels.

Lindsay hopes that her success as a novelist will inspire girls to pursue their dreams in whatever field calls to them.
